Trigger Point Injection/Ashi Point Treatment for Pain Relief
Compression of a trigger point may elicit local tenderness, referred pain, or local twitch response. These are identified through palpation of the tissue and a ropey or tender area. Injections into these sites often include a combination of herbs like arnica, St. John’s Wort, echinacea and more.
These treatments focus on reducing/relieving pain by treating specific points on the meridians and “ashi”/local/trigger points. Acute conditions typically require one to three treatments and chronic conditions typically require 5-7 treatments.
